We have the opportunity to join Bea and Olen Ragan in Mexicali to reach out to the community of Johnson which has was devastated by the earthquake last month. The quake crumbled the buildings and the earth cracked open, which brought hot water into the village and flooded their crumbled homes. The government has determined they cannot return to their homes and will reloate the entire village. Meanwhile the people are servivig with whatever means they can, no electricity and very limited water. The are provided water to drink but not enough to bathe or for laundry. The temperatures are rising and the people need shelter from the sun in addition to basic camping supplies. If you would like to go on this trip or donate to this missions trip, see below:
Our team will leave at 5pm on Friday, May 21st and return on Sunday the 23rd. We will be serving with any work projects, handing out food and supplies, and an evangelistic outreach. A sign up sheet is available at the Information Window. Cost to go is $75.00 which will cover transportation. You will also need money for fast food and tacos. A team meeting will be held on Sunday the 16th after the 11am service in the Sanctuary. Money and paperwork can be turned in at that time. Passports are required to travel to Mexico.
